A Day of Spring

Spring in Spokane lasts a day, then it becomes summer! Which is sad because springtime is the best! We had one lightning storm (you couldn't properly call that thunder), a rainbow, then pow! 85 degrees!

I have been loving maintenance training! I almost feel guilty for enjoying school so much... We have been doing inspections periodically and working more on the 206. One such project is doing the wheel alignment.

Which is a rare thing. Only two of the instructors has ever done this before. Typically through an aircraft's whole life the alignment is never changed. But if you rebuild a plane or you rebuild the landing gear you do one. The best part is, It involves math! So of course I had a great time arithmetizing. The frustrating thing is though, the shims that change how the axle is aligned are never exact in dimensions, and you have to jack the aircraft, remove the wheels, and the axle, then put it all back and lower the plane. So far we have done it like 8 times and don't have all the right shims... (so I now have lots of airplane jacking experience 😁)

In my spare time... haha! It's a joke again! I have been trying to learn more about excel spreadsheets because they are used quite a lot in this business.

Storytime:
A whole bunch of us decide to enjoy the sunshine Sunday afternoon. And in the process of loading up a friend closed the trunk on my head! In case you didn't know, head wounds bleed a lot! Sorry no pictures, but they were kinda mortified at failing to kill somebody. 😂 ("they" shall remain nameless for mysterious reasons)

But wait there's more! If that wasn't bad enough, while navigating the shoreline my foot found the slipperiest rock in the state! I had no other choice but to inspect the rock closer, and ended up putting a sizable hole in my leg. (it looked similar to a gunshot wound) I will refrain from gory pictures for my more squeamish readers.

Thankfully it wasn't in a place that requires stitches and it has not gotten infected.

If you could be praying for my leg, my head, and that I would continue to grow in trusting God in relationships and schoolwork I would most appreciate it!

Also, random, my toolbox and first two toolkits were ordered last week! They should mostly arrive in late July-August.

Rejoice in the Lord always for He is near!
